Since 1998
An Independent, locally owned, general and travel specialty bookstore and brewery in Santa Fe, New Mexico located due east of the plaza in the oldest part of Santa Fe.

We are a prime resource for local recreational information for exploring the nearby national forests, wilderness areas and parks. We custom print full scale USGS Maps for the entire USA.

Under single ownership since creation in 1998 by Greg Ohlsen and Ellen Stelling founders of Garcia Street Books in 1990!

Sierra Club presents: Sky Island
short film and discussion with director John Grabowska

We will gather at 4:30 p.m. The Northern Group will provide beer (or your selected drink). The movie is at 5 p.m. Director John Grabowska will comment and answer questions until 6 p.m. about what it is like to be an environmental filmmaker. About the film: Like an island rising from a desert sea, New Mexico 's Jemez Mountain range is a wild, rugged land of the Faraway Nearby. In Sky Island, filmmaker John Grabowska (www.johngrabowska.com) examines the natural history of this enchanting landscape and our place within it. Narrated by acclaimed actress Meryl Streep, featuring Pulitzer Prize-winning Native American writer N. Scott Momaday.
