Christmas in Strasbourg
with Philip Holtzweiler
Saturday Dec 21, 2024

Around Christmas, the Alsace region in Eastern France and the areas just across the border in Germany and Switzerland are nothing short of fascinating. While their rich history and exceptional beauty can be enjoyed year round, the Holiday Season is an absolute highlight—with, among others, some of the oldest and most beautiful Christmas markets in Europe. Together with a Santa Fean who was born and raised in Strasbourg, you will embark on a festive tour. Stopovers include Strasbourg, Colmar, Freiburg and Basel. To be discovered along the way are two grand cathedrals, France 's largest medieval castle, century-old taverns and breweries, the famous Alsatian Wine Route, world-class museums, unique culinary traditions, villages straight out of a fairy tale and much, much more...
